March 2020 marked an important milestone in the lives of David & Alma Hanna with the Anniversary of 40 years dedication and commitment to the delivery of Tailored Financial Advice and Wealth Management.  Throughout those years, putting Clients first has always been at the very core of their Business DNA which sees applied knowledge and personalised quality service combining to exceed Client expectations.

From humble beginnings, working out of a small sitting room with a reconditioned Remington Typewriter and not a Computer in sight, Hanna Hillen Financial Services has evolved to become a multi adviser professional office with a host of in-house specialisms delivered through a team of dedicated individuals.

Transformation and Growth never come easy and the Hanna Hillen achievements could not have been attained without the assistance, through those decades, of the many loyal members of Staff who combined expertise, grit and determination in the delivery of a wide and varied range of Financial Solutions.

Along the journey, the merger of The David R Hanna Consultancy with Peter Hillen Life & Pensions in 1991 was particularly significant as it created a broad base business presence which spanned most of South Down / South Armagh and provided the springboard to Greater Belfast and beyond. 

Founding Partner David Hanna commented “The Financial Services Sector has changed beyond recognition during the past 40 years with both Technology and Regulatory requirements making major impacts on the delivery of Financial Planning and Solutions to meet Client needs. What hasn’t changed, however, is people’s need for Professional Advice as and when required – which, in reality, is throughout life”

2020 sees Hanna Hillen Financial Services having evolved to now become a Team of 15 committed and highly talented individuals. The Team works to exacting standards as part of a strategic and creative business plan which is ably overseen by Office Manager Linda Heaney. Linda, in leading by example, sets the benchmark high and stressed – “We must never underestimate the need to always strive for improvement and to succeed in this we need to be prepared to value open and honest feedback from both the Team and our Clients”.

A key driver of the business in 2020 is David and Alma’s son James, a Chartered Financial Planner and Partner. In support of David’s and Linda’s views, James added “At Hanna Hillen we are continuously seeking ways to impact lives for the better.  We want to empower clients to have confidence in their financial decisions and fulfil their life goals.  Importantly, if our focus is to educate our clients on achieving such goals, it is crucial that our Team has the ability to do so also. We therefore strongly encourage a positive workplace environment and a good work/life balance”.

A very obvious feature of Hanna Hillen Financial Services is the ‘Family Culture’ which is ingrained throughout the Business. In Alma’s words “Family Culture starts when we wake up and continues until we go to bed.   At work we expect our team to be courteous, respectful and supportive of one another. We believe that this ethos should extend into our client interactions and that every relationship should be treated with the respect expected from a caring Family”.

As we approach 2021, and the Business enters its 5th decade, Management and Staff continue to embrace ‘Old and Trusted Values’ into which ‘State of the Art’ Financial Solutions are constantly introduced. This appreciation for both old and new values ideally places Hanna Hillen Financial Services in a position to deliver dependable solutions to meet the many varied Client needs and objectives of this 21st Century.
